Measure height to decide drapery length.
Soft Top / Grommet: Measure from top of rod to floor.
Pleated / Flat Hook: Measure from bottom of ring eyelet to floor.
Ripple Fold: Measure from track bottom to floor.

How many inches beyond your window frame would the rod extend?
Add extra width (typically 6-15 inches) on each side for the curtains stack.

How many inches above the window frame would you mount the rod?
Typically rods should be mounted at least 6-8" above the window frame to provide visual height.
